Hazel, Kentucky, is located eight miles south of Murray on US 641 and lies on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee. Established in 1890, Hazel became a booming railroad town through the early 20th century. As time rolled on and the railroad industry began to dwindle, so did Hazel. In the early 1990s, the town of 440 residents found new life in something it was quite familiar with - antiquities. Today, Hazel boasts nearly a dozen antique stores and shopping malls, representing over 500 dealers. This community is once again alive, vibrant, and bustling.
